Bloodborne pathogens shop checklist
Go through the main requirements of OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030. Each item is a plain-English summary with the paragraph it comes from, so you can read the exact wording.
Not legal or medical advice. This is a self-review aid based on federal OSHA rules. Checking every box does not mean a shop is OSHA compliant. The federal standard applies to employers whose employees have occupational exposure. Booth renters and solo artists without employees may not be covered by federal OSHA, but state plans and state and local health department rules vary and are often stricter, so check with yours.
Summaries paraphrase the standard and leave out some detail and exceptions. The text on osha.gov is the authority. Also see the official resources and the exposure control plan template.
